TII has released Falcon 180B, a scaled-up version of the Falcon 40B model, incorporating innovations like multiquery attention to enhance scalability.

1. Falcon 180B is trained on 3.5 trillion tokens across up to 4096 GPUs. It is 2.5 times larger than Llama 2 and utilized four times more computing resources.

2. It outperforms Llama 2 70B and OpenAI's GPT-3.5 on MMLU and is on par with Google's PaLM 2-Large on various evaluation benchmarks.

3. Falcon 180B is available for commercial use, but it comes with highly restrictive conditions, notably excluding "hosting use."
