Unveiled at Canva Create 2024, the updates span the entire platform, introducing new products, enhanced editing experiences, and resources for teams. But the biggest news is the deep integration of AI, available to start using right now, that would make content creation faster, easier, and more intuitive than ever.

1. Stunning visuals with text: Use text prompts to generate images and videos with Magic Media, or describe your desired graphic in text to create unique icons, stickers, and illustrations.

2. Design smart: Input your ideas or upload media, and Magic Design will create professional social posts, presentations, and even videos, now powered by even more advanced AI for higher-quality results.

Aya 23 Models Expand Multilingual AI Capabilities 🌐

Many language models today are English-centric and support only a few major languages, leaving a significant portion of the world without robust AI tools. Cohere for AI addresses this with Aya 23, a new family of multilingual LLMs covering 23 languages. Building on its earlier Aya 101 initiative, which focused on breadth by supporting 101 languages, Aya 23 focuses on depth and superior performance. These models perform strongly across various linguistic tasks, outperforming Mistral 7B Intstruct, Mixtral and Gemma models.

1. Models: Aya 23 is available in two versions: 8B and 35B with their weights released. The 8B model is optimized for efficiency and accessibility with reduced computational resource requirements, making it suitable for everyday developers. The 35B model achieves the highest results across all benchmarks for the languages covered.

2. Aya Dataset: This collection includes 513 million instances of prompts and completions, covering a wide range of tasks. This collection incorporates instruction-style templates from fluent speakers and translations of instruction-style datasets into 101 languages. 

3. Performance Gains: Aya 23 models show significant improvements over the previous Aya 101 model. The 35B model achieves a 41.6% increase in multilingual MMLU. It demonstrates a 6.6x increase in multilingual mathematical reasoning.
